A massive 8.7-magnitude earthquake rocked Indonesia today, just three months after December's killer tsunami devastated much of the country.
While no serious tsunami materialized this time, residents of the ravaged city of Banda Aceh took no chances, fleeing for higher ground as soon as the earth began to shake:

I don't recall earthquakes this large and often anywhere. Although there may have been.

Okay. I looked at this and immediately thought "That last woman on the bike is burning her foot! Aagh!" What's that about?
Maybe I'm just too used to being the passenger on a Harley, where you don't dear put your feet or legs anywhere near the tailpipe ...

The pipe may be covered by a heat shield. Still, I wouldn't recommend riding barefoot.
