You've probably heard that Japan is famous for its natural hot springs.
This weekend, my girlfriend and I are taking our dog Peana to a special hot spring for dogs. I was surprised to hear that such a thing even existed, but apparently they're quite common here.
I'll have some pictures when I get back, but blogging may be light to nonexistent until then.

I believe I first read this on the day after you posted it, which was about the same day my wife told me about seeing a TV program featuring onsen for dogs. If you're ever near Kobe with time to spare, please try Arima Onsen (one of the oldest onsen towns, it is said); its public bath, Gin no Yu, has such high iron content that it's like stepping into a pool of akamiso soup.

Sounds good... Beppu also has a few "mud onsens" where you actually bathe in hot mud, then shower off and get buried in hot sand.
